Minimum age of applicants:

K1: September 2021 to December 2022 born child
K2: September 2020 to December 2021 born child
K3: September 2019 to December 2020 born child

Application and Enrolment date:

Enrolment date : 9:00a.m. 2^nd September,2024 to 11:59p.m. 10^th October, 2024

Deadline : 11:59p.m. 10^th October, 2024

Enrolment Fee : $40(non-refundable) Please directly deposit the application fee / pay the application fee through Automated
Teller Machine to the following Bank Account:

Admission Application:

Parentes will receive the interview time by email.

Interview Date:

Interview date will be on 26^th October, 2024. The interview time will be informed after the from submission.
Please contact (23261546) our school if not receiving any notification after 18^th October, 2024.

Interview Arrangement:

1. Parents should accompany your child during the interview.
2. Attend the 10 mins parents’ seminar before interview.
3. The interview will be conducted in two parts:

teacher-child interaction
individual/ parent-child interaction

4.The interview will take about an hour.
5. According to the guidelines of Education Bureau, enrolment fee is non-refundable due to the absence of interview.
6.Interview time will not be able to change due to the large number of interviews.
7.The kindergarten will arrange interview for all applicants.

Admission Criteria:

1. Performance on the interview day.
2.Children will be given priority if

Siblings currently enrolled
Graduated siblings
Graduated parents
Living nearby

(As the number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.)

3. Whole day class applicants:
Family with needs will be given priority. (for example, dual-career family. Parents need to provide work certificate on interview day.)

Interview Result:

1. Our school will announce the result on 2^nd November, 2024 on our website: http://www.rlk.edu.hk.
Application result will be send by email before 7^th November, 2024.

Registration Arrangements:

1. Centralised Registration Dates:

Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child form 4 to 6 January 2024 by submitting the RC/AP to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.
Office Hour: 2^ndto 3^rd January 2025: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
4^th January 2025: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
If parents do not complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by school, the right of registration will be forfeited.
The registration fee for 2025/26 (half day class: $970 / whole day class: $1570) . If the child concerned studies in our kindergarten, the registration fee will be refunded at the end of first school month)

2. Applicants on the waiting list:

If there is any vacancy, the school will notice applicants by phone or mail individually. Parents are requested to register in person at our kindergarten according to the specified date set by the school.
First Waiting Period: Parents will receive result after the Centralised Registration Dates.
Second Waiting Period: Parents will receive result before school.

3. Arrangements for children changing school after registration:

Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the Kindergarten in writing. The Kindergarten will return the “RC/AP” after three working days, but the registration fee will not be refunded.
Upon obtaining the “RC/AP”, the Kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.5

Application for the "Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission":

1. Under the kindergarten education scheme (Scheme), each child who can receive education in Hong Kong will only be issued a
registration document and all Scheme-KGs can only admit students holding a valid registration document.

2. Parents are required to submit an application for the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred to as “RC”) to EDB from September to November 2024. The “RC” will be open for applications in September 2024 and EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto EDB’s website(https://www.edb.gov.hk/k1-admission_e) in due course. Upon receipt of the applications with all necessary information and documents provided, EDB will generally take six to eight weeks to complete processing of the applications and issue the “RC” to applicants who are eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme by post. If a student cannot obtain an “RC” as he/she can receive education in Hong Kong but is not eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme 1 , EDB will then issue a “Kindergarten Admission Pass” (hereafter referred to as “AP”) to the student concerned for registration and admission to a Scheme-KG but the parents concerned are required to pay full school fees before deduction of subsidy under the Scheme as shown on the Fees Certificate of the KG to which the child is admitted.
